Citrus Australia – China Mission – Beijing, Dalian, Shanghai & Guangzhou Nov/Dec 2013
CEO David Thomas and Dr Caroline Hong from Think Global were co-mission leaders for the Citrus Australia Delegation to China to explore and expand market access into China, engaging with government, industry associations, importers, market wholesalers, supermarkets and port logistic companies. A group of 20 citrus growers and packers from Citrus Australia visited four cities, starting at the World Fruit and Vegetable Fair in Beijing and followed by visits and meetings in Dalian, Shanghai and Guangzhou. This is the first Citrus Australia industry association trade mission to engage with China, and covering an intensive itinerary to develop a deeper understanding of market access, quarantine issues, logistics and business relationships with importers, government, wholesalers and industry associations.
